About Janay

Unlocking a student's unique potential drives my approach to education. With seven years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, and test preparation for college and adult learners. I believe that true success stems from building confidence rather than simple memorization. By observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my strategies--using visual aids, hands-on practice, or open discussion--to suit your specific needs. When concepts feel overwhelming, I break them into manageable steps and connect the material to your personal interests. I prioritize clear communication with both students and families to ensure we remain a collaborative team. Nothing compares to the reward of witnessing your "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I am CPR training and First Aid certified and feel happiest when I am helping you reach your academic goals.
