I was initially optimistic about Janay because she reached out multiple times expressing her interest. We scheduled a trial, but she requested to reschedule twenty minutes before she was due to arrive at my home. I accommodated the change and gave her another opportunity because she seemed genuinely interested in the job. The trial itself went reasonably well, and she left with the impression that she was still interested in moving forward. However, after the trial, I reached out to follow up and confirm her second day of working with us, but she never provided a response. While I understand that circumstances and job decisions can change, professional courtesy and communication are very important. A simple message indicating she was no longer interested would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, being completely ghosted after investing time in the interview and trial process was disappointing and reflected poorly on her professionalism.
