About Jamie

I am a 3rd year art education student attending Chatham University, working towards my K-12 teaching certification. I currently work at Carriage House Children's Center in Squirrel Hill, where I aid in the care and early education of children from 0-6 years of age. I also work as support staff for Neighborhood Learning Alliance's Elementary Afterschool Program, monitoring and teaching children from 6-11 years. I love working with children and am very patient, even during stressful situations. My experience in childcare and education has helped me gain confidence and skill in behavior management and conflict resolution. I have taken classes and training in child development, early child care, and education, and have up-to-date state and national clearances I can provide. I also have training in CPR, first aid, and child safety, as of October 2023, and am currently taking another CPR and first aid course at school.
