About Jamie

Hi there! My name is Jamie. I'm 30 years old and I live in Redlands. I am a long-term caregiver, working for In-Home Support Services (IHSS) for 8 years. Throughout my employment, I have taken care of my grandfather, father, and mother; all of which had terminal or chronic illnesses. These include Parkinson's Disease, Pancreatic cancer, and Ischemic/transient ischemic strokes. As a caregiver for IHSS, my job duties include housekeeping, meal prep, errands/grocery shopping, grooming/bathing, and laundry. I also work as a caregiver for residents with Dementia at Adora Care assisted living facility. Through this role I have gained med tech training, mobility assistance, agitation redirection, wound care, and resident lifting/transport. I am currently looking to switch to a one-one-one caregiving job or long term housekeeping/pet sitting role.
