About Jamie

Hello! My name is Jamie, and I'm back in my hometown of Dallas working as a social worker. I'm looking for part-time childcare work to supplement my income, but also to enjoy time with kids after stressful work days! In 2019 I worked a summer in Dallas with a fantastic family, nannying a 4-year-old girl until she started school. Eventually moving to WA, I took care of a wonderful 7-month-old baby. In 2020 returned to Dallas and cared for a baby girl whose family I'm still close with today (and who helped me get started in social work!). Besides that, my most recent childcare work was with twin, premature baby boys. In addition, I've regularly cared for my nieces and have a long list of older children I've cared for over the years. While I absolutely love babies, I truly enjoy working with older kids and being a source of compassion and patience for them. I'm a huge supporter of getting kids to play outside and read, and I like to find ways to make healthy food kid-friendly!
