About Jamea

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, enthusiastic, and relatable. I like tutoring because being able to help make an impact on a student improving skills is rewarding. Rewarding not only for the student but also for me as a tutor. I enjoy seeing the progress each time the student makes towards their own success. I started tutoring during my sophomore year in community college. I continued to do tutoring in addition to peer mentorship until I transferred. In my spare time, I like to go for walks, read books, binge watch shows, and be in community with friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I take the progress in my student's learning seriously and attentive to their needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Currently, I am in graduate school pursuing my masters in counseling. Being in the helping profession is where I am familiar with and thrive as a person and a professional. My skills include patience, positivity, and time management.
