About Jaime

I have always held a special place in my heart for seniors. I remember when I started feeling especially connected to older folks. I was 16 and had just gotten my EMT certification. I would care for, treat and transport patients (of all ages) by ambulance to the ER. Whenever I had an older patient, it never failed... by the time we would arrive at the hospital, somehow I was able to get a smile, and often times even a giggle, out of someone who had been so seemingly hopeless several minutes before when we first met. I remember being told many times by coworkers & ER staff, that I just had a knack for this age group. Several years later, I took care of my grandmother for many months after suffering a stroke, requiring around the clock care. I am happy to say that I was able to bring out a smile (& a giggle) from her many times too.
