About Jaime

I love working with children, and consider myself fortunate to have found my calling in caring for them. Areas of interest include: arts & crafts, cooking & baking, dance & theater, love of reading & writing, including poetry, being outdoors in nature, learning and classifying plants, insects & animals. I am a Montessori Certified Early Childhood Educator with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been a participant of Project Wild, a wilderness skills training course, for early childhood & k-6. Waldorf and Compassionate Education are also areas in which I have attended workshops. As an experienced educator and caregiver of young children in a variety of settings and contexts I bring a diverse set of skills and abilities including knowledge of child development, a deep awareness and appreciation of differences in approaches to child rearing, and have a genuine understanding and love of children. I have CPR and first aid certification as well as all my clearances.

Jaime has been great with my 2 year old and 4 year old daughters! She keeps them engaged in imaginative play and games, rather than turning on our TV...which I love. Jaime also spends time outside with them when the weather permits. As an added bonus, our arrangement has her making dinner on the afternoons into evenings that she's with our family. This takes an extra load off my shoulders when I come home after working all day. Jaime is kind and sincere. I'm happy to have her with our family a couple days per week and would highly recommend her to anyone else!
