About Jacob

Hi! My name is Jake (they/them). I graduated from the University of Virginia with my degree in Psychology and Women, Gender, Sexuality minor. I am currently obtaining my masters in clinical psychology. I've worked one year at a Crisis Center for adults experiencing psychiatric crises, and one year as a mental health counselor at a high school where I provided individual psychotherapy for students with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. I'm looking forward to bringing my clinical skills into this field of work! I would love to connect with families who are queer, have queer kids, and/or have kids who may struggle behaviorally or emotionally. I am a queer person, so if that makes parents uncomfortable it's not a good fit! More about me: I'm a Sagittarius. I was a diver for 12 years, and competed in D1 athletics in college. I've been a CrossFit coach for almost 4 years now. I LOVE listening to music/making playlists. Two strengths of mine are my warm energy and genuineness.
