About Ivy

I am a compassionate and reliable caregiver with five years of hands-on experience caring for my mother-in-law with dementia. She was very clear that she did not want to go into a nursing home, so I stepped in to care for her in the comfort of our home and honor her wishes. I supported her through the gradual progression of dementia, from early memory loss to needing full-time care. I assisted with daily activities including bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders, and mobility, while also providing patience, reassurance, and companionship. For the final two years, she was on home hospice, where I worked closely with her care team to focus on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This experience taught me empathy, patience, and how to adapt to changing needs. I treat every person I care for with the same respect and kindness as family.
