About Ivey

A little background: I graduated college with a bachelors in psychology and fine arts. I've been in childcare for 12 years. I was an in-home nanny for 5 years to children starting at ages 3 and 7. After that, I began teaching. I worked in a preschool classroom (ages 3-6) for 5 years. In 2022, I moved to Asheville, NC with my partner and began working as a toddler teacher in an Early Head start school. I am comfortable working with large groups or individual children. I enjoy working in environments that utilize my critical thinking and creative skills while fulfilling my passion of working with children. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am comfortable driving children. I'd be happy to take children to activities or plan experiences we can do together! I'm love all animals. I am a nonsmoker. I am comfortable doing nap time, bed time, meal preparation and feeding, bath time and other routine needs.
