About Ivette

I have strong experience working with children through family care, teaching, mentoring, and youth activities. I helped care for four nieces and nephews, including children on the autism spectrum. That experience taught me patience, structure, flexibility, safety awareness, and the importance of understanding each child as an individual. I am also a high school teacher, so I know how to create routines, explain things clearly, keep students engaged, and encourage positive behavior. I have taught Pokémon, gaming, and creative activities, and I have operated a video game lounge where children and teens could play, learn, socialize, and build confidence in a safe environment. My child care style is patient, calm, creative, and structured. I believe children need consistency, respect, encouragement, and sometimes extra time to communicate or adjust. I enjoy helping children feel safe, supported, understood, and capable.
