About Isheka

I am an experienced educator with over 13 years of classroom teaching and 5 years of ESL instruction. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and academically gifted students in grades 4 and 5, specializing in reading comprehension, phonics, test-taking strategies, grammar, and penmanship. I also teach math using Common Core, Engage New York, Saxon, and Singapore Math. My approach focuses on helping students connect their learning to real-life situations, guiding them from the known to the unknown. I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor's in Middle Grades Special Education, and I am committed to supporting every student's unique learning journey.
