About Isabel

I'm Izzy, and I'm a teaching credential student. I have worked with children for the past 6 years, and am very passionate about child development and education. I have taken a year's worth of graduate education courses. Through these courses, I have spent time observing classrooms, and have become familiar with California education standards and learning goals. I have taken and passed the Multiple Subjects California Subject Examination for Teachers, and I am familiar with lesson planning. I have experience in after-school programs, in which I would help students with homework and plan educational activities. For the past year, I have been teaching enrichment programs to elementary students. Through these experiences, I have learned teaching methods and strategies which have been proven to help children understand and apply concepts in various subjects. I'm looking for a summer job which will help me practice and apply these strategies before returning to school in the Fall.
