About Isabell

I'm Isabella, a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Planetary Science and Astroparticle Physics with a second major in Biology. I know that's a mouthful, but to put it simply, I'm a nerd for space and astrobiology. I fell in love with teaching, however, while working with below-the-bar elementary and middle school students. I was assigned seven kids total, and while it was a learning curve for all of us, all seven went from below-average state testing scores to reaching the 80th+ percentile for learners their age. Every student deserves to feel proud and confident in their education journey, but many are discouraged from doing so because they lack the proper resources. Learning should be fun, not a chore, and I want every child to feel the same passion for learning as I experience.
