Experience: 6 yrs
Hi, my name is Bella! A little bit about me, I just finished my student teaching at Metzger Elementary school. This role means that I work with children in the kindergarten classroom. I also have experience with preparing children with the tools they need for Kindergarten as I spent four years as a Pre-K teacher at Southlake Preschool. Along with this experience I have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English Language Learners (ELL). Last year I worked in special education classroom at Metzger as well, which gave me expertise with students who have learning disabilities from Kindergarten through 5th grade. On the side, I have worked as a professional family nanny for the past six years and I pride myself on the relationships I have made with a variety of families. I am currently looking for work during the rest of the Summer and the upcoming school year. Thank you for your time!
We had the pleasure of having Bella spend five weeks with our family, caring for our daughter from 10.5 to 11.5 months old. This was such an important developmental period, and Bella became a wonderful part of our daughter’s daily life and growth. Bella was very thoughtful about supporting our daughter’s development. She encouraged her to crawl, practice pulling to stand, and explore more independently. She also brought her own books and toys to share with our daughter and gave us helpful recommendations for age-appropriate books and developmental toys that could further enrich her learning and play. One thing that especially stood out to us was Bella’s background and knowledge in early childhood development. She understood our daughter’s developmental needs and knew how to keep her engaged and entertained in ways that were both fun and meaningful. Rather than simply keeping her occupied, Bella encouraged curiosity, movement, exploration, and independence. Bella also joined us for MyGym every week during the five weeks she was with us. Having Bella there made a noticeable difference in our daughter’s confidence. Instead of constantly looking for Mom or Dad, she became increasingly comfortable exploring the space on her own, interacting with the environment, and parallel playing alongside other children her age. It was wonderful to watch that independence grow. By the end of the five weeks, Bella and our daughter had developed a very strong bond. Our daughter was genuinely happy and comfortable with her, which meant a great deal to us. We are only parting ways with Bella because our family is leaving town. We would gladly recommend her to other families, especially parents who value a caregiving philosophy centered on respecting a child’s individual needs, supporting their independence, and encouraging their development at their own pace. Bella brought warmth, knowledge, and genuine care to our family, and we are very grateful for the time she spent with our daughter.
