About Isabela

Hi! I'm Isabela, I was born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago. I'm the oldest of three siblings, the youngest of whom I spent a considerable time caring for as a baby and toddler. I also grew up spending a lot of time with my extended family in the neighborhood. Now, I spend time working out, meal planning, reading, and checking out new cafes :) I have two degrees in the social sciences from the University of Chicago, and a certificate in Education Research. For the past couple years, I have been teaching middle and high school students how to use their voices for change. I provide curriculum to student groups on the importance of community, organizing, and creating change while also incorporating fun activities. I love encouraging students to go beyond what they think they are capable of and seeing their growth brings me joy. I would love to spend time with a great family and provide support with things like child care, afterschool activities, and morning routines.
