Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our time with Iris and selected her for our open nanny role. Before even calling the two other interviewees, we called her first to let her know she was our choice. She was excited. We followed up with a welcome text and sent over the full schedule for the entire month. No response. The day before she was scheduled to start, I reached out again just to confirm we were still on. That is when she responded, saying “after careful consideration, she is going to have to respectfully decline at this time.” As parents of 10 month old twins, dependable care is critical. To accept the role, go silent, and then back out the day before put us in a very difficult situation. We forgive her, but we were definitely impacted by how this was handled.
