About Iqra

It is rare to find someone like Iqra. From day one, we felt we could fully trust her with our baby. She is incredibly intuitive and consistently one step ahead, from recommending next foods to introducing age-appropriate activities, flagging baby-proofing needs, and proactively managing supplies. She takes initiative in a thoughtful, unobtrusive way and consistently finds ways to improve our baby’s day while making things noticeably easier for us as parents. She also adapted her approach based on our preferences, which we really valued. Iqra cared for our baby from around 3 to 9 months old, and her experience with infants really shows. She kept a calm, structured rhythm, engaged our baby through reading, singing, and floor play, and encouraged development in a very natural way. She also introduced baby sign language, which supported early communication. She is extremely reliable, always early and never late, very safety-conscious, and someone we never had to second-guess. She also sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout the day. She went above and beyond when we needed flexibility, including seamlessly caring for both our baby and our 4-year-old during snow day closures. She built a great connection with both children and handled everything with ease. Most importantly, we trust her completely and would hire her again without hesitation. Reason for leaving: We are transitioning to daycare and would have gladly continued working with her otherwise.
