Ingrid did not have the energy to keep up with our kids. She seemed best suited for older children despite knowing what she was getting into with our family. We were very clear from the beginning with regard to how demanding the job could be with the wide age difference of children. This is fine however, what was unacceptable was after she gave notice and we mutually agreed to part ways, the next week day of her two weeks notice, she failed to do anything to care for my kids while I was at work. My son's meals consisted of soda, chips, candy, and more chips. My 1.5 year old was placed on the couch with the older children and she set her down, telling the older one to watch her. She also left her purse out in front of her and neglected to stop the toddler from going into it to grab change. Luckily, the oldest kids caught her before the change went into her mouth. Needless to say, after hearing what had happened, I fired Ingrid.
