All of the families I have worked with have been first-time parents so I'm able to make recommendations when requested. I have a lot of experience with infants, including newborns (sleep training - monitoring feeding schedules, introducing solid food, encouraging crawling, talking, walking, and more). Ilyse is everything you could hope for in a caregiver. She is warm, patient, and brings a contagiously positive, calming energy into the home. On top of her natural connection with kids, she is extremely reliable and punctual (she has literally never been late once!) and is a great communicator. She has a gift for understanding what a child needs, whether that means engaging them in fun, silly play or keeping them calm and comforted.

She has been with us since our son B was 5 months old, and she is truly part of our family. B adores her, and after nearly two years, he still gets super excited every time she walks through the door!  They spend their days exploring outside going to the playground, and sharing endless inside jokes and laughter.

As first-time parents, her 15+ years of experience were an incredible support during first fevers, post-vaccine cuddles, and every tricky milestone. We are so lucky to have her in our lives!


Ilyse is absolutely fantastic. She is warm, kind, calm, patient, and so much fun. Our little boy loves her so much - lights right up every time he sees her. She always plans such fun days and is so attuned to his needs. We feel very lucky to have found her.

We've had the joy of working with Ilyse as a part-time nanny for our 5 month-old son. Ilyse is dependable, professional, and so warm with my son. He adores her, and I feel confident leaving him in her hands. She communicates well with me throughout the day and follows any special instructions to maintain my baby's daily routine. We hired Ilyse to care for our 3.5 month old daughter. She is responsive, punctual, and very kind.  Ilyse played and sang with our daughter, gave her a bath, fed her nighttime bottle, and put her to bed. We absolutely will continue working with Ilyse!

We hired Ilyse to care for our 3 month old son a few days a week, and she's been an incredible addition to our lives.  She is a great communicator and easy to work with, immediately clicking into our routines and home. Ilyse is very sweet and has become a great friend of my 2-year-old son. He loves her and talks about her all the time when she's not around. She is playful and very attentive to our routines and directions. We are sad that our schedule has changed and we will no longer be able to work with her on a regular basis. Would highly recommend!

We were visiting NYC and hired Ilyse for Saturday night and Sunday 12-6ish.  She was extremely easy to communicate with and was absolutely great with our daughter.  She made us feel so comfortable, updated us while we were away and even sent pictures and video.

We would hire Ilyse again next time we visit.  She's great.

Ilyse watched our one year old daughter for two nights while we visited NYC. She was a very punctual communicator, showed up on time, and provided excellent care for our daughter.

My husband and I were able to go out in the evenings, knowing that our little girl was well taken care of, happy, and content -- all thanks to Ilyse! She was dependable, punctual, flexible, so very kind and thoughtful, and most importantly, our daughter loved her! She is our first-choice babysitter for any future NYC trips, and we cannot thank her enough for her help! We would highly, highly recommend her to everyone. 

It was so important to me to find someone I could trust who was compassionate and genuinely enthusiastic about her job. Ilyse is all these things and more. She showed real compassion and patience in supporting my daughter through a very long road to independent sleep. Now a toddler, my daughter?s needs have changed. My husband and I have put a great deal of importance on supporting emotional well-being through respectful, leadership parenting. Ilyse not only displayed openness to working with this style, but ease and passion, as she shares a similar philosophy. She has formed a special relationship with my daughter, who has grown to trust and adore her. Ilyse gives my daughter room to build confidence and independence, cheers on her achievements, and importantly shows shows empathy while holding space for her to express frustrations and sadness.

We are very happy with Ilyse, she is an excellent caregiver. Ilyse has been with our family for the past two years, she takes care of our daughter when my husband and I enjoy an evening out. When we hired Ilyse, our daughter was 4 months old and having sleep issues, we were using the Ferber Method at the time and Ilyse was flawless at following our instructions. Our daughter loves Ilyse, she gets excited when she sees her, they seem to have a special bond. Ilyse loves reading stories and singing lullabies to our daughter before bed. Ilyse is trustworthy, kind, loving and reliable. We continue to use her and couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Working to teach the little guy how to walk, add words to his repertoire, eat new foods, etc. Taking our daughter to play dates, ballet class, trips around the city. She is extremely conscientious. We are sorry not to need her next year, but I am taking time off from work to be home, and thus a sitter is no longer in our budget (I so wish it was, as Ilyse will be a hard one to match!).
