Hello! I am going into my second year of teaching high school math and I love it. I realized last year how many students struggle with math because they do not understand the basics and fundamentals. Because math continuously builds on that, students are finding themselves struggling and frustrated. I've been in that situation before and it can feel so hopeless. However, at the end of the year I had numerous students tell me that I was able to get them to see math in a fun and new way. I even had a few students say they used to hate math but it is their favorites subject now (if you can believe it!). That is my goal though, to get my students to realize that they CAN do math, and that they can do anything. It's all about seeing it a different way.
