Experience: 10 yrs
Fostering a child's growth and development is my true passion, and I have dedicated the last 10 years to making a positive impact on the lives of the children I care for. My approach is patient, calm, and creative, ensuring that every child feels supported and engaged. I hold a college degree and maintain CPR Training. I am comfortable caring for one child at a time across the 0-11 age range. Whether we are playing outdoor sports, solving puzzles, or engaging in educational games, I prioritize active learning. I am happy to assist with meal preparation, carpooling, and light housekeeping. I value open communication and will always follow your preferred method to discuss your child's day. I am very comfortable enforcing your established household rules. I look forward to bringing my experience and energy into your home to help your little one thrive.
I am writing this review out of fairness and honesty. Ms. B did very well with my son. She was excellent within the childcare scope. I never had to think twice when I left the house, and she was there with him. I give her 3 stars due to her not being upfront about not wanting to work with us anymore. I was upfront with her about the hour change I had and kept her updated. She acted as if she was fine with the hours changing and that she was available on weekends. Upon her last shift with us, which was a Saturday, I asked her about the following Saturday. She stated that she would be available. I proceeded to text her the next day which was Sunday to confirm hours for that Saturday and she did not respond but she did in fact read the message. I texted her again that Monday to ask about that Saturday. Again, she stated she was available and asked what hours. I told her the hours needed and within 2 texts she told me that she actually started a FT job now and couldn’t do nannying for me anymore. I found that strange as she had just told me within that 9 minutes she was available and within that 9 minutes she was already hired FT somewhere else?? My advice to Ms. B would be to be honest with the people that you work with. She could have easily been honest and upfront with me about not wanting to come anymore when I asked her the first time or when I let her know the hours were changing. All it takes is simple communication with the family. She could have let me know she needed to have more hours and what I was giving at the time wasn’t enough. Whatever the case may have really been, at least reach out and give some sort of heads up before quitting so abruptly.
