About Holly

This summer, I'm looking to utilize my skills beyond the classroom! I would love to provide support and/or enrichment for families looking for academic help, practice, a boost, or even a challenge for their kiddo(s)! I am a well-rounded teacher with 12 years of experience (all subject areas, 1st-8th grade)! I've taught classes up to 30 students and down to small groups of 6 kiddos or less. I'm experienced in both virtual teaching and classroom teaching. To me, the most important aspects of teaching/learning are: to give kiddos ownership of their learning and to keep kids engaged through relevant and purposeful material and activities. I believe students should possess critical thinking skills to be able to understand and navigate the world around them. On a personal note, I pride myself on raising 2 boys (ages 6 & 8) and 2 dogs. I've also been happily married for 10 years, and counting!
