Hi there! My name is Hollie. I'm an early childhood educator with nearly a decade of experience working with children from infancy through middle school. I especially enjoy working with toddlers and young school-aged kids! I hold an EEC Teacher & Director II certification and spent several years working in a licensed childcare center before shifting my focus to individual families, where I find the work most meaningful. I specialize in teaching/tutoring Mandarin and math while promoting creative, imaginative play. Since 2021, I've worked as a nanny, first to a young girl, then to twin girls. I also currently tutor a young boy in Mandarin. In each of these roles, I've designed activities and lesson plans based the child's particular interests and needs. Beginning in June, I'm available for full- or part-time nanny positions, as well as tutoring in Mandarin, English or math. I'd love to connect if you think we might be a good fit!

Hollie is an exceptional caregiver, and we would strongly recommend her to any family. We met Hollie when she was a teacher at our daughter’s daycare and we were looking for regular childcare on the weekends. Hollie started coming for one day per weekend when our daughter was about six months old, and she worked with us until we moved recently, when our daughter was 4.5 years old. In those four years, Hollie became a member of our family, and we were so grateful for her kindness, creativity, responsibility, and genuine love for our daughter. She has taught our daughter Chinese, taught her math, taught her to read, encouraged active play with her, and helped her creativity blossom. During COVID we even asked Hollie to move in so that we could have childcare when the daycare closed, and we have occasionally asked her and her partner to watch our daughter overnight while we went out of town, always completely trusting that our daughter would be well cared for and in very safe hands. We trusted Hollie implicitly and could not have asked for a better caregiver for our daughter and addition to our family. We could not have made it through those four years without her help, and we miss her so much now that we’ve moved out of state! We recommend her in the strongest possible way.
