About Hollie

I'd describe myself as silly, kind, and responsible. Throughout my 25 year teaching career I have come to understand child development and appreciate the rewarding work of helping a child learn. I love to see children smile and it brings me joy to be a part of a child's life. I'm looking for a job that can offer me flexible hours and ability to take time off. Ideally, I would like to work part time as I also teach a course at SVSU during the week. Before retiring last year, I taught K-5th grade at Midland Public Schools for 25 years. Additionally, I spent the last year nannying for a family with twin infants. In my spare time, I like to read, craft, bake, spend time with my own children, and be outside. I particularly like kayaking, hiking, and even whitewater rafting! I bake cakes for friends and family and also hand make cards. I have many years of experience working with children and will value your child's safety, comfort, and learning using patience, and creativity.
