About Hitomi

Hi! I'm Hito. I've lived in New York City for over 20 years and have more than 20 years of experience working with children as a babysitter, teacher, and dance instructor. I've cared for more than 20 families in NYC through both short-term and long-term positions, supporting children from infants to elementary school age with school pick-up, homework, creative play, piano practice, Japanese language, bedtime routines, and daily care. I've also taught dance to children at dance studios and at public and private schools. I hold a Japanese calligraphy teaching license, can teach beginner piano for preschool and early elementary students, and am fluent in both Japanese and English. I have a U. S. Green Card and am fingerprinted and background checked. I'm punctual, caring, energetic, dependable, and patient. I strive to create a safe, positive, and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and feel loved. Most of all, I truly enjoy working with kids!
