My journey began at Tata's Kids daycare at 18, followed by a teacher role at 23 at Omega Center while trying to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education . At 27, I taught Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 at Fire House Kids Academy and also offered aftercare and summer nannying services. Since 30, I've been a full-time nanny for the Chang family, caring for their children from infancy. Heydee has been my full-time nanny for the last 4.5 years. I have 2 active boys (5 and 2) and she has been taking care of them since they were infants. Both boys are now at school age and I no longer need full-time help. Heydee has tremendous experience in childcare from newborns to toddlers and beyond. She was a pre-K teacher prior to being a nanny. This experience clearly shines through in the way she interacts with my kids. As a nanny she uses these skills to really teach my kids the foundations of learning whether its color matching, word play, pretend play, arts and craft, coloring, sounds – she is wonderfully creative in the way she plays/teaches. My kids are engaged and have so much fun. Importantly you can tell she really cares about the kids, loves them, listens to them, nurtures them and invested in their growth and development. For example, she potty trained both my kids in less than 2 weeks and during this time, she was so committed to the task at hand that she was on the bathroom floor all day, practically hugging the toilet, coaching and encouraging – firm but never shouting and never angry. She is very dedicated to her job, for example, never on her phone. Her focus and dedication are always on the kids. She is a kind, patient, nurturing and wonderful person all round. She is everything you would want in a nanny who you are entrusting the care of your kids to but SO much more. She has become part of my family and my whole family will miss her dearly. I am so grateful for her help these past few years and any family is lucky to have her in their lives.
