I'm primarily open to pet sitting. I'm most experienced with dogs, cats, chickens, small animals, and fish. I also am able to do skilled tasks like brushing cat teeth, clipping nails, administering flea meds, and cleaning ears if needed. I love animals so much that I led a weeklong service learning trip to different animal sanctuaries, shelters, and rehabilitation centers when I was in college, and taught an accredited college course on human animal relationships! I was vegan/vegetarian for 5 years and had to stop when I developed autoimmune issues. I work during the week in Glendale, so I would only be a good fit if your pet(s) are okay with having someone absent during the day M-F. I have a graduate degree and am very clean, tidy, respectful, and responsible in others' homes. I will follow your instructions accurately and always notify you if anything unexpected were to happen. Heliya has cared for my two senior cats on many occasions, both for weekend trips and for longer periods away of several weeks. My kitties have very different personalities (one is more needy with a bit of sass, while the other is initially much shyer) but both need attention in their own ways and have lots of love to give. Heliya has always been so caring and gentle with them, while also being very in tune with and respectful of their individual boundaries. One of my cats also had significant health issues and needed several medications with her meals, along with some extra encouragement to eat. I always felt I could completely trust Heliya to give her the care and attention she needed, which meant I could enjoy my time away without feeling like I needed to constantly check in on my cats’ well-being. I would absolutely trust Heliya to care for them again.
