About Heidi

I was employed by a school district in New York State over several years as a tutor to students who were temporarily unable to attend class. As part of the literacy curriculum at SUNY Albany I tutored students in reading. My one to one attention on basic reading skills led to the student's significant improvement in comprehension and level of reading. I have special interest in adult education for second language learning as my mother was a native of Switzerland. She came here to the states with no English background. I also have a daughter -in-law who immigrated from Mexico, who also had no exposure to the English language. I understand how difficult it must have been for them. I look forward to helping another who would benefit from my educational skills in reading and speaking.
