About Heidi

Hi there! My name is Heidi, and I am a graduating senior here at the University of Oregon. I am 22 years old, and have relevant childcare and teaching experience ranging from 2-16, with a background in babysitting/nannying, running a small, in-house daycare back in high school, volunteer work in a local 4j first grade classroom, and teaching/group leading experience working for Alpha Best Education the last summer. I am beginning my graduate program in elementary education this July in person at George Washington University, but begin virtual classes May 22nd. For my virtual session, I have been tasked with working one-on-one with an elementary age student here in the Eugene area, at least once or twice a week until around June 15th when I start moving East! I like working with kids because they offer a unique insight into the world around--it is such a joy to be able to experience their perspective again, and help them to cultivate that joy for learning!
