I have owned pets my whole life. I have one family dog whom I've had since I was 8 years old, named Truffles. Most of my family cats have since passed away due to old age, but we still have our black tabby Patches, so I know how to change his litter & feed him. I currently have a Shiba Inu mix, who I rescued, she is 9 months old and is doing very well despite her being abused/neglected prior to me adopting her. She was aggressive when I first got her, and can now be around all dogs & children. I am currently working on socializing her with cats. I am mostly familiar with dogs & cats, however I've had fish before and am comfortable with any other animals as long as I'm left instructions on how to care for them. I adore all animals, even if they are reptiles! I'm happy to help you in any way that I can.
