About Heather

I am currently a 4th/5th grade science and engineering teacher. Science is my core background, however, I have a wide background in teaching multiple subjects to elementary and middle school aged children. I love teaching and am always learning new things both professionally and personally. I'd describe my personality as calm, curious, and adaptable. I like tutoring because I love teaching. I struggled with a lot of content when I was in school and the teachers who stood beside me, who helped guide me, made me who I am today. I currently have a bachelor of science in conservation biology and ecology from Arizona State and am working on my masters. In my spare time, I love to read, paint, do puzzles, and try new foods. I spend a lot of my time with my dog and my lizard, exploring and trying new things.
