About Heather

I like working with kids because I think success begins at home, and kids need as many adults as they can to make them feel seen and confident in themselves! I see working with kids as a way to help the world become a bit of a better place. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my pets, going on hikes, and finding fun activities to fill the time. I'm currently into painting and wouldn't mind doing further arts and crafts with kids! I grew up with siblings and am always up for games! I have worked with people from all ages and backgrounds, with intern experience in the classroom, retirement homes, and adult daycare facilities. I am going to school to be an elementary school teacher, so I wouldn't mind helping with schoolwork either! I previously worked at a therapeutic boarding school so I have training in deescalation, as well as first aid and CPR training. At this job I was responsible for 10-15 middle school to high school age girls who had experience with trauma.
