About Heather

I have been caring for children basically my entire life. I come from a very close extended family, in which I am the oldest and have always been the first choice for any type of child care needs. I have a lot of patience but am very energetic & fun loving with a positive attitude. Since the age of 16, every job I have included working with children. I have been a camp counselor for both day camp (ages 3-10) & sleep away camp (ages 5-16) as well as a life guard, & swim instructor (ages 3-5). I worked throughout high school in the work program. I was a nanny for 2 summers taking care of a girl through age 9 & 10 & recently was a nanny for a family with two girls (ages 6 & 9 when started) for 3 years. I would drop off & pick up from school including spending time playing in the park. If possible I usually would try to walk there & back. I help w homework, meals, & easy cleaning. I also try to become involved w any activities including supporting the kids by going to games ) even if not scheduled that day. I also have a brother with mental disabilities, so I know how to take care of children with special needs.
