About Heather

In May of 2023 I graduated with my undergraduate Bachelor's degree in ECE with a teaching license of birth to 5 years from NVU. In August I began my Advanced Specialties in Educational Practice, M. Ed. program I have taught ages 6 weeks to 5 years for the past 8 years with an outdoor nature based philosophy. I believe that all children will best learn in an environment that supports the children where they are. Providing children with the ability to strengthen skills in various learning domains and scaffold on prior knowledge through hands-on learning promotes positive learning and engagement. I strive to build lasting connections and relationships with families. Creating a developmentally appropriate space that is inclusive with intentional language and interactions is of importance. Most of my free time is spent on the lanes of a bowling alley surrounded by friends and family. I also own my own dog treat business that was started in 2020 called Charlie's Treats
