About Heather

My work in childcare began straight out of high school as an assistant in a preschool classroom. I quickly realized that working with children was the career path for me. Out the years I have worked in a variety of settings with children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. For just over 15 years I worked at a quality childcare center that cared for children from infancy through Kindergarten. I taught in each of these age groups before becoming the Director. While student teaching I worked in the public school setting. When my own children, now teens, were young I began a family childcare in our home. Although I am not currently CPR and First Aid certified I am comfortable and familiar with procedure. Throughout my career I was required to refresh training annually.
