About Heather

I'm a mother of an 11-year-old daughter. I have over 30 years of child-care experience with kids of all ages. I have been a preschool/kindergarten teacher at a homeschool co-op for 12 years. I have been 1st Aid and CPR certified for over 20 years. I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and fun. I like working with kids because I enjoy watching them grow and learn new things. I also love getting to know their individual personalities and help them develop in unique ways. I'm looking for a job that will allow me the flexibility to spend time with my own daughter while also being able to be a blessing to another family. I started working with kids when I was in Jr. High. I took care of my teacher's three daughters a few hours a week. From then on, I have been caring for kids in some capacity for over 30 years. In my spare time, I like to play the piano, participate in various church activities, and spend time with my family.

Heather was so great with my two kids (2.5 and 6 mo). I had just returned back to work from Mat leave and was nervous leaving my kids with someone other than family. Heather puts those fears at ease. She was so thoughtful and really paid attention to my children’s needs. She did crafts every time with my oldest as well as dance parties which she loved. My schedule was also constantly shifting and she was so flexible and accommodating when anything came up. Can’t recommend Heather enough!
