About Heather

Hello! My name is Heather and I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. I was born and raised in Marysville and I just graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy from Grand Valley State University. I am living at home this year while I complete my master degree online and I am looking to make some extra money to pay for school. Since I am a recreational therapist, I have a ton of experience working with individuals of differing abilities, including older adults with Dementia and Alzheimer's. I worked as an activity director at an assisted living and memory care facilities so I have had experience doing transfers, helping toilet, assisting in feeding, etc, as well planning and implementing lots of fun activities for the residents!
