About Heather

Hello! My name is Heather, I am 30 years old. I have two daughters that are 9 & 6. I live in Cape Girardeau, but close to the Gordonville/Jackson area. My senior year of high school, I was a student teacher in Kindergarten and 1st Grade, through Future Teachers of America club I participated in. I have also attended Child Development at Cape Career and Technology Center, where I volunteered at a local daycare during that course. I attended SEMO with a major in Early Childhood Education for two years, before deciding to pursue a career in the medical field. Over the next several years I worked at medical clinics and Southeast Hospital. When COVID took place, I made the decision to stay home with my girls. I stayed home the following school year as well, while my husband worked full time with the city and also studied to get his pilot's license. Now that he has completed his courses and received his license, I am interested in getting back into childcare.
