About Heather

Hello! My name is Heather and I am a Spanish teacher looking for some summer work. I am an animal lover (I've been vegan for almost 3 years now) and have two dogs, and a classroom pet fish, of my own! I have a 7-year-old black lab named Barb, who is a released Guiding Eyes for the Blind dog, and a 4-year-old mixed breed named Stella. I've had pets my entire life - including several cats and dogs. I have experience training dogs, as I raised Barb for Guiding Eyes from the time she was 8 weeks old until she was 1. 5. During that time, I taught Barb basic skills and socialized her in a variety of environments. I would be happy to work on basic training with your pet, as I know how important consistency is! I am available for pet sitting and dog walking any day during the summer. I would also be happy to bring your dog to my house if needed!
