I am in my 5th year of teaching Special Education. I have two full years of tutoring experience. Iove teaching math and phonics but I can also help students with reading, writing, vocabulary. As a Saga Fellow, I tutored 9th and 10th grade students intensively in Algebra and geometry, but I have also worked with middle and elementary students. I am reliable. fun, and engaging. I use a combinations of old fashioned drilling, games. and hands on work to keep students engaged. As a tutor my hope is that I can help students see the value in the work they are doing and help them develop the grit and resuliency they need to succeed in all of their endeavors. in my free time, I like reading, journaling, spending time with friends, hiking, traveling, and cooking.
