Hello! I'm a reliable, trustworthy, and responsible person with 10 years of experience caring for children in a variety of settings. Professionally, I am changing careers from a hospital-based Certified Child Life Specialist to go back to school for nursing (RN). As a child life specialist, I worked with children and families during their most difficult medical experiences with the goal of mitigating emotional trauma. The way I did this was through compassionate connections, developmentally appropriate preparation, and PLAY! I believe play is the work of children, and love coming up with activities (indoor and outdoor). I am fun-loving and go-with-the-flow, but like to be organized and manage my time well. I have a knack for connecting with children, understanding the way they see the world, and helping them see the wonder in the everyday. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
