I am a mom of 2, and the children's educator at a free early literacy program for children. I am Undergoing the certification to become a birth doula as well, with a goal of being able To better serve families in the immediate postpartum care. I believe that selecting a babysitter should be a decision that works for your whole family. I hope to entertain and educate your children while you work OR relax, and I hope to help make the parents' lives simpler by helping children remember the rules, being consistent with the existing parenting routines, and always leaving your house cleaner than it was when I arrived. Additionally, I love animals and have nearly as much experience in food service as I do in childcare, so I am always happy to discuss additional tasks that may benefit your family. I am happy to play with your kids inside or outside, and will often bring many of my own toys and games to help keep things exciting, interesting, and inviting to them as well.

Haley is a wonderful child caretaker and a great resource for all things parenting-related. She began watching our children in August 2021 - 2 year old and 7 month old. She had been our primary caretaker for the entirety of the 21-22 school year, working every Monday through Thursday full-time. She never once missed a scheduled day. She was employed during the height of COVID, and we would communicate exposures frequently and decide together what would be the best approach. She was incredibly flexible with us through this strange time. Of Haley’s strengths—and there are many—her greatest is her engagement. The children really developed a strong bond with her, and she is great at engaging children of all ages. She has worked in camp-type settings, and I know she has been involved in childhood sports herself, so she comes with a broad range of fun games and activities for children. She also has schooling in early childhood education which enabled her to teach my children preschool work. Often Haley would bring her own crafts, toys & books from home. Sometimes she would set up learning units of the week – such as learning about ‘apples’ or ‘trees’ or ‘seasons’. Her creativity is very impressive. She makes a vast variety of sensory boxes for children which are a huge hit. My oldest really loved the water beads box & the apple pie box. Haley also is very diligent with her time. If you need her to help with tasks around the house, she is happy to do so. One time, she had some free time during my children’s naps, and she reorganized my entire linen closet and even brought in her own cute metal basket from her car to help keep things neat. I still have it set up that way to this day. I encourage you to be open about your expectations of Haley from the beginning and she will not let you down. She is a very hard worker. Haley and I also developed a wonderful friendship during and since we worked together. While I could speak volumes about Haley from both a personal and professional level, my children also showed me this. They love seeing Haley around town. She has been personally invited to their birthday parties and welcomes the opportunity to engage with them during her own free time. She also keeps me in the loop on various community activities and we would meet at events like the 4H Greene County Fair. I also think it is very heartwarming that Haley has raised many 4H animals and helps coach the younger children in their competitions. You will be very impressed if you hire Haley!
