About Hailey

Hi there! I'm a loving, patient, and dedicated student at the UO looking to work with some awesome kids. I have experience working with children in both professional and casual settings. I spent two consecutive summers as a counselor at Safety Town where I took care of a group of kids ages 5-7 and taught them how to navigate the world safely. Through fun and educational activities we learned about stranger danger, fire and water safety, bike and car safety, poison safety, and more. In high school I took two years of early childhood development courses, alongside working in our community preschool as a teaching assistant where I prepared and presented lesson plans as well as working hands on with special needs kids. I have had the opportunity to babysit for multiple families that not only trusted me with their kids, but their home and their pets, and to be their caretaker, maid, chauffeur, and tutor. I love working with kids because I believe it's valuable and joyful work worth doing.
