About Gretchen

Hi, I'm Gretchen. I'm a nursing student at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences and a certified nursing assistant (NA I). I completed my nurse aide clinical at a long term care facility and I currently have nursing clinicals weekly at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Many of the patients I care for are geriatric patients. My role as a student nurse includes; physical assessments, administering all medications, obtaining vital signs, round the clock surveillance, documentation/charting of progress made and actions done for patient, assistance with hygiene needs and ADL's, and anything else that the patient may need. I also assumed the role of part time caregiver for my grandfather when his dementia worsened. I am familiar with senior care and feel confident that my knowledge and experience enables me to offer attentive and sensitive care for the aging patient.
