About Gretchen

Hello! I am a Special Education teacher who is taking some time off from directly teaching in a school district to doing some 1:1 care. I love working with people who have special needs. I love doing other things like playing my guitar and being creative. I taught and have been tenured in school districts Anoka Hennepin and Minneapolis Public Schools Districts in MN and I have also taught school in Kerrville and most recently Del Valle ISD. in TX. I taught many students that have had physical handicaps as well as autism and developmental cognitive disabilities. I am familiar with working with non-verbal students and picture symbols. My students and I have always had a good relationship that fosters mutual trust and respect. also available for pet care.
