About Grace

Hi, I'm Grace! My experience: I've worked as an academic tutor and academic coach for three semesters at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI, where I worked in University's Student Success Center as a university employee. I helped students analyze their classroom strengths and struggles, communicate needs and accommodations to professors, and master studying strategies. I helped students summarize their test, notes, and projects into learning goals and class themes to focus on. I also helped students with increasing their time management and prioritization skills. I have also worked as a intern at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis. There, I helped create programs and activities for children and families to better connect to and engage with exhibits. Why I'm interested in tutoring: Feeling like you have control of your learning is empowering. Getting to see all the little moments that bring someone to have confidence over their learning is amazing.
