About Grace

I am a PhD student in Philosophy at Villanova University. I hold an MA in Philosophy and a BA in both Philosophy and the History of Mathematics and Science. I have experience teaching English to elementary school students, tutoring middle school students in English, and teaching undergraduate students. I currently tutor writing at Villanova University. I enjoy tutoring and teaching because I see education as an important part of human life and human nature. I believe that when someone struggles with a subject, it is not necessarily because they are incapable of doing well in it. Often, they may simply not yet have had the opportunity to discover what is interesting about the subject or to find a way of approaching it that works for them. I find it deeply fulfilling to guide students toward seeing the intricacies and possibilities within their studies and to help them develop their own confidence and curiosity as learners.
