About Grace

Hello, my name is Grace and I am a Junior in the nursing program at University of Tennessee, Knoxville! I absolutely love working with kids and hope to be a pediatric nurse. My true passion is working with the disability community. For the last five years I have worked at a camp for individuals with disabilities that serves everyone from 5-55 years of age. I have experience with individuals with cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, autism, and so many others. Through my work I have gained experience in all forms of communication (verbal, non-verbal, communication devices, etc.), experience in behavior management, and knowledge of how to use medical equipment such as G-Tubes, trachs, and suction machines. I am also BLS and CPI certified. Having the honor of working with the disability community has taught me so much and given me so much experience, and I can't wait to continue with this passion!
